Anyone want to buy a flag?

With the protests across the world, some of them look really angry like someone just raped their mother, it seems the best business to be in is the making of American and Israeli flags with a nice side business in combustible effigies.

I understand why the Muslim community is offended but a quick search of the Internet will find pretty offensive stuff on every religion, culture, country, race and important figures. However I don't see the Japanese going crazy over the current fight with china or the Buddhists burning effigies or the flag of a country over a perceived slight to Buddha. I don't see people dying because someone says something offensive about black people. How many people have died so far in these latest protests? Is it worth it? I'm willing to be 99% of the people protesting have not even seen this vile video but feel insulted enough to protest on the orders of someone who says they should do it. I'm even seen a picture of a child who must be 3 or 4 holding a placate in the UK saying 'Behead all those that insult Mohammed' to me that is child abuse of the worst order. Teaching your kids it's ok to kill other people that don't share your beliefs.

Now I'm not against people protesting, that is a human right but for people to die around the world and for all this hate and vitriol to be directed at America is just plain wrong. Thankfully out of 2 billion Muslims it's only a small minority involved in this and like them it's better just to ignore idiots like this who produce material to provoke and enrage.

  1. one side burns the flag while the other defaces the koran. There is an equivalence here?

  3. MIMH - a correction to your post; the photo ofthe child was in Sydney, Australia.

Secondly, the 'film' was shown once (for free) in a run down film theatre in LA. Acording to the theatre owner, who rented it out to the film makers, only 10 people attended the screening. The 14 minute 'trailer' for the film has benn on Youtube for 2 months and again only of handful of people viewed it. Since an Egyptian TV station brought it to the attention of the public and the attendent riots that insued....as of yesterday.......well over 10 million people have viewed the Youtube vid alone!!! That's not taking into account all those that have now seen it on other sites where it has been mirrored.
